Edgardo Moreno was
spiritually born in a cross fire coup d’etat. The child of music,
politics and tragic revolutionary dreams. Loudly banging on tables and
chairs from an early age his parents failed to see the potential noise
that was emerging and told him to be quiet. Only much later was this
energy channeled into music. Now there is little in the way and
his compositions are a mix of influences and styles that only he
understands but that anyone can move butt to.
He writes for film, television, modern dance and theatre.
These compositions have been called…
‘Compelling…strongly integrated score.’ The Washington Post.
‘…beautiful and haunting’ Globe and Mail, Toronto.
‘Ominous, threatening, driven and haunting.’ The Gazette, Montreal.
‘richly textured’ The Toronto Star,
‘…dreamy and film like’ Eye Magazine,
…‘…fucking right on!’… by a drunk after a show.
‘…grating, loud and repetitive’ some paper in Europe (forgotten name).
